In the past two years, intelligent tower crane control systems have gradually been implemented in multiple projects in China. The operator sits in the ground cockpit and can control the tower crane at a height of 100 meters through the smart screen, achieving one click automatic driving. The anti-collision model equipped in the system, combined with LiDAR, can recognize long-distance steel wire ropes, achieve global perception and active obstacle avoidance, and reduce blind lifting risks from the root.
At the same time, the intelligent tower crane control system that integrates 5G, IoT, and AI vision has entered the stage of routine operation in dozens of cities in China. The system supports flexible access of multiple towers and machines, with network latency controlled at a low level, improving lifting efficiency, and synchronously reducing labor costs. From the perspective of technological maturity, intelligent tower cranes are still in the transitional stage from pilot applications to wider popularization. The stability of state perception, the reliability of complex construction site communication, and the adaptability of warning models to different working conditions are still directions that the industry needs to continue to break through.
This means that the differences in construction site environments in different regions, such as the high temperature sand and dust in the Middle East and the high humidity during the rainy season in Southeast Asia, require targeted technological adaptation rather than simply copying domestic solutions. For export enterprises, understanding these differences is more important than simply promoting equipment parameters.
The dependence of traditional tower cranes on operator experience often faces problems such as high training costs and difficulty in unifying safety standards in cross-border projects. Once the ground remote control system is adapted to the local network environment, it can enable a skilled operator to manage multiple devices simultaneously, which is highly attractive for large-scale projects in the Middle East where manpower is scarce. In the equipment selection stage, whether the system supports local communication standards and whether the anti-collision algorithm has been optimized for multi tower cross operation scenarios often directly affect the management costs in the later stage of the project.

Article 2: Industry Observation | Construction Elevators Enter the ‘Unmanned Freight’ Stage, and Logistics Efficiency on Construction Sites Rises Again
Introduction: For a long time, “people waiting for elevators, elevators waiting for vehicles” has been the norm in high-rise building construction. The emergence of intelligent freight systems has enabled construction elevators to evolve from simple manned tools to fully automated logistics nodes.
